Rutgers-NB recently introduced fourteen videoconference rooms designed for converged classes comprised of in-person and online students. Rather than purchasing conferencing hardware, Digital Classroom Services (DCS) connected peripheral cameras and microphones to the Mac computers in its podiums. The result is a conference solution that uses web-based conferencing apps that faculty are already comfortable with. In this session, DCS will detail how they designed and supported these spaces with a focus on student engagement and equity between online and in-person students.
